Expressing gratitude gives inner satisfaction!

Life today is too fast. Everything is readily available on merely a click. No one has time for each other(yet everyone is finding ways to kill time). Despite being so busy each one of us requires human connection. Hence we live in groups that may be family, friends, or colleagues etc. With the advancement in technology we have come so far in our lives that we have stopped cherishing and valuing little pleasures of life. Like today’s generation has no idea of that fragrance coming out of pages of books. They have missed the element of keeping dried flowers in books or the peacock feather as book marks. They have no clue about the display of patience we depicted while waiting for the reply of the letter wrote to our loved ones weeks ago. Speaking further they don’t know the value of the time we spent with our grandparents where we use to long all day for the most awaited storytelling session with them. They just have missed A LOT!!! Alas!

Today I thought of going back into time and revive the old tradition of writing letters. Though I have a lot of people in mind whom I want to thank for their valuable contribution in my life. But for a start I’ll thank a very dear uncle of mine, who has clearly impacted me a lot in many ways. Though I have never expressed this to him ever and he might not even know that he holds this much importance in my life. Today I have sent him a handwritten note to make him feel important and loved. I hope this little gesture of mine will bring up a smile on his face. I have always idolized him because he has this aura of positivity. Though I didn’t get the opportunity to spend much time in his company but whenever we had a discussion over anything it was always very meaningful and productive. I hope he gets the best out of this world and the hereafter.

I’ll share the letter I wrote for him (though not fancy at all). I wanted to personally hand him this letter but as he has moved to another country so I had to send him the letter online. Along with the letter I’ll also share the sweetest reply he sent me. This made my day!

Letter I wrote for him. The thank you note. (:
I am sure I made him smile :D

After this experience, I’ll suggest you all to take out time and thank people around you. Trust me the level of inner satisfaction will increase to many folds. Go ahead and give it a try!
